Every year, millions of users write their initial reviews and continue to contribute photos, videos, questions, answers and other valuable content to Yelp. As a Senior Product Designer on the Consumer Content & Contributions team, you’ll help identify and solve a variety of exciting user problems that drive an overall increase of different types of content.

Your focus will be on retaining and engaging contributors, driving reviews, photos, videos, and other valuable content on the Yelp app. This impactful role involves understanding user needs, delivering high-quality design solutions, conducting user research, and collaborating with Product Managers and stakeholders. What you’ll do:

  • Understand user problems, needs, and explore new possibilities with a deep intent.
  • Work on exciting, new, 0 to 1 features as well as revising legacy and existing ones.
  • Address challenging user and business issues with effective stakeholder management, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Drive and fully own end-to-end design projects while following user centered design principles and processes to deliver high quality design solutions.
  • Lead and perform design activities like user research and interviews, competitive and comparative analysis, design led brainstorming and workshops, hands-on design and walkthroughs, iterative design evaluation and validation, produce ship-ready, pixel perfect designs, and engineering hand-off.
  • Partner with your leads to create north star vision and provide thought partnership in annual planning, roadmapping, and product strategy.
  • Form tight-knit relationships with cross-functional partners to advocate product and design quality.
  • Closely collaborate with the Design Systems, Content, and Creative partners to build delightful experiences that wow the consumer.

What it takes to succeed:

  • Work through ambiguity and be an organized thinker and problem solver.
  • Strong visual design skills and can tell a great design from a good one.
  • Well-versed with common UX and UI patterns.
  • A collaborative teammate who plays well with others, but is authentic and isn’t afraid to speak your mind.
  • Experience working on consumer apps at scale.
  • Proven track record of shipping design solutions in a fast paced environment.

What you’ll get:

  • Compensation range is $96,000-210,000 annually. You may also be offered restricted stock units and benefits.
  • This opportunity has the option to be fully remote in all locations across the US.
