Senior Graphic Designer

General Description: Responsible for designing and implementing websites, web applications, and user interfaces (UI) for various digital platforms. Work with cross-functional teams to create engaging, responsive, and accessible web designs. Ensure designs meet business requirements and user needs.
Responsibilities:
• Develop visually appealing and user-friendly website designs, web applications, and UI components. Utilize cutting-edge web technologies and responsive web design principles.
• Collaborate with UX designers to create seamless and intuitive user experiences. Understand user needs, conduct user research, and incorporate UX best practices into web designs.
• Continuously improve the user experience by conducting usability testing and gathering feedback. Iterate on web designs based on user insights and usability principles.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, content creators, and stakeholders. Ensure web designs align with business requirements, brand guidelines, and technical feasibility.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems, style guides, and pattern libraries. Ensure consistency and scalability of web designs across various digital platforms.
• Ensure web designs comply with web accessibility guidelines. Includes inclusivity and accessibility for all users, including those with disabilities.
• Work with team members and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Includes reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback to develop their design skills.
• Stay informed on web design trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to continuously improve and enhance the quality of web designs.
• Provide creative ideas and concepts to help support brand strategy.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• 5 years + of professional experience in front-end web design. Must have a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in web design and user experience.
• Proficient in responsive web design principles and web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
• Experience with various design tools. Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Sketch, or Figma preferred.
• Experience designing accessible websites. Includes familiarity with web accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.0/2.1).
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles. Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
• Experience with front-end development frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap) is a plus.
• Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for typography, color, and layout.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines.

Salary Range $83,000 to $85,000
