The Senior Designer will have a leading role in how we approach creative communications and campaigns and will directly contribute to our mission of removing barriers to mental health. This role will collaborate with the marketing team to produce visual content and campaigns for print, digital, email, direct mail, events, and web assets in a fast-paced startup environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Independently executes more complex visual ideation assignments (e.g. design of all campaign deliverables, multivariate campaign designs)
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • QAs work, but is comfortable being the final approver of a project, vouching for its technical and creative correctness per brief
  • Challenge the status quo of how we engage our audience by bringing fresh ideas and continually testing different designs and formats
  • Interface with print, event, and other vendors to produce high-quality, impactful creative that drives response
  • Create production files for assets across print and web designs
  • Provide guidance and creative direction to templates used by Member Marketing and Customer Success teams for co-branded assets and campaigns

What we expect from you: (Qualification ex. education, experience, etc.)

  • 5+ years graphic design experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Begins to develop winning campaign ideas and/or key creative design and production elements on assignment project
  • Understand the business needs and project purpose beyond assigned tasks (“big picture”)
  • Able to make decisions on project setup, and knows who to involve to get problems resolved
  • Understands complex projects and knows how to organize their work efficiently
  • Understands the department’s business model and success criteria, and can participate in conversations about project or client strategy
  • Draws from experience to help shape the workflow for repeating project types and standardized processes
  • May start to formally mentor designers at lower levels, if interested and deemed capable by own mentor, with their support
  • Able to convey complex information to clients, stakeholders in written and/or verbal form
  • Present work to clients in live meetings, and may begin to be responsible for client-facing presentation materials
  • Able to brief Jr. Designers and Interns without supervision
  • Can delegate and subdivide tasks amongst the team and can oversee progress
  • Participates in planning meetings and provides timeline, effort, and workflow suggestions for assigned tasks and projects
  • Able to give comprehensive instructions and clear feedback to lower-level designers
  • Is comfortable collaborating on tasks with all other company departments and does so confidently
  • Previous experience working on client or partner creative that requires thoughtful co-branding that maintains brand integrity for all parties
  • Strong knowledge of design techniques and comfort working on a variety of disciplines, including print, digital, direct mail, web (including email marketing)
  • Ability to apply your creative thinking and problem-solving to multiple projects at one time
  • Organization skills and file maintenance, naming, image archiving, and image editing
  • Proficient  in Asana, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, and Google Slides
  • Working knowledge of WCAG/ADA accessibility regulations
  • Must demonstrate the ability to operate in ambiguity, anticipate the needs of others, exemplify a solutions driven approach

The target base salary range for this position is $108,700 – $141,350, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually using Radford Global Compensation Database at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
