Sr Systems Engineer (remote)

Position Overview: Our Systems Engineering team is growing and we are looking to hire a Senior Systems Engineer. This position will be responsible for providing Level 3 administration support for a broad range of information technology areas including Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft SCOM, File management, and Windows Servers. This position can be entirely virtual/remote/work from home and you can sit anywhere in the US. Responsibilities: Support and administer enterprise Active Directory environment including all AD services (DNS/DHCP/DFS/GPO) Provide 3rd & 4th level support and request implementation Build, support, maintain, and decommission server instances both virtualized and physical as well as server hardware in data center environment Build, support, & troubleshoot Windows server clusters (Veritas Infoscale & Microsoft failover/availability group) Support and maintain Enterprise Microsoft Operating System-based server OS including testing and installation of critical updates, ensuring installation and function of MS Configuration Manager client, and responding to SCOM alerts Adhere to strict Change management policy to ensure timely notification, testing and approval for all system and application related changes. Work alongside project managers, other departments, and engineering silos to ensure the smooth technology integration of company mergers and acquisitions Adhere to problem management practices that focus on root cause analysis and prevention of future problems Work with the System Operations team to resolve multi-user and significantly complex issues that have been escalated in a timely manner M&A activities including ingesting data into the enterprise data center and setting permissions to follow company standards. PowerShell scripting On Call support - Rotation shared by other engineers Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred Expert working knowledge of all aspects of Microsoft Operating systems and related products Experience in building servers based on Microsoft operating systems Experience with virtualization (VMware) and Citrix suite of products (XenApp & XenDesktop) Thorough knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, WINS, DHCP, troubleshooting tools such as performance monitor Strong Process Improvement focus Experience with sever clustering including Microsoft failover/availability group and Veritas Infoscale clustering Self-starter who can focus on the work to be performed and be able to work independently with little management supervision Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and time management skills Focus on Customers - Understands how specific actions link to customer impact; ensures the customer's needs and impact on the business are at the forefront of all decisions and actions; maximizes customer satisfaction Experience with Microsoft SCCM Experience with Technical documentation Proficiency with Visio and Microsoft Excel preferred Quest Change Auditor experience nice to have U.S. Eligibility Requirements: Interested candidates must submit an application and resume/CV online to be considered Are you 18 years of age or older or can you demonstrate legal capacity to enter a contract?
