Role Overview
In this role, you’ll motivate and align a team of software engineers in a fast-paced startup environment. You’ll also work cross-functionally with departments to execute outcome-based product strategy that will help us achieve key business outcomes.
As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will use your mastery of JavaScript, Node.js, AWS, and PostgreSQL to deliver Statusphere’s key product and business outcomes. You are a thoughtful engineer who wants to work on a small, product-focused team. You will contribute to and follow established coding guidelines, contribute to process improvements, write and maintain clean application code, and avoid investing copious amounts of time optimizing things that don’t matter. You will be a productive team member both independently, and in collaborative and supporting capacities. You will help establish team values and reinforce Statusphere’s Core Values.
You will:
- Lead the entire product development lifecycle including the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of new and existing features
- Use continuous delivery to ship incremental improvements at least once per week
- Facilitate code reviews to spot issues around architecture, performance, security, and consistent coding patterns
- Follow and improve upon Statusphere’s engineering guidelines, code style, and continuous delivery process
- Communicate plans, progress, blockers in team review meetings
- Frequently ask clarifying questions about the intended impact of the work, weighing options, and devising creative solutions to complex problems
- Assist with training and onboarding of team members as needed
- Contribute to team and individual development where needed
- Foster an environment that supports Statusphere’s core values where team members feels empowered to speak up, contribute ideas, and collaborate effectively
- Align and motivate engineering team members to execute on technical strategy and vision to meet deadlines
- Contribute to and execute engineering technical roadmap
- Provide regular updates to Senior Engineering Manager on progress of key milestones, risks, blockers, mitigation, and issues
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience or the equivalent working in a startup environment
- Desire to assist the VP of Product and Engineering to build and grow a team of high performing Software Engineers
- Deep knowledge and understanding of Node.js, React, Express, PostgreSQL, and AWS</li>
- Preferred background in Data Analytics or Machine Learning
- Demonstrated experience designing greenfield systems and planning complex projects
- Ability to identify and rollout tools that will set the Software Engineering team up for success.
- Ability to drive high levels of productivity and motivate the Engineering team to exceed business goals through mentorship.
- Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and work within deadlines with little to no supervision.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management skills.

- Ambition to learn the business of consumer marketing and how it relates to software development and overall business goals at Statusphere.
- Attend all in-person team events as needed
Salary Range
- $113k-$170k
- *Compensation is based on demonstrated experience
