REMOTE Director of Digital Acquisition (Paid Media)

The Digital Acquisition Lead will help efficiently scale existing digital channels (e.g. Facebook, Google), test into new ones (e.g. TikTok) to diversify our marketing mix, and drive strategy for a fast-growing startup.

Description

The ideal candidate has deep experience in channels like Facebook, Google, TikTok, YouTube and more, having invested millions of dollars at an efficient CPA/ROAS with a laser focus on incrementality.

Reporting to the Head of Growth & Digital Product, this person must have an expert-level understanding of growth marketing and diverse experience across various digital performance channels. You'll be responsible for setting the overall strategy across the digital media channel mix, determining appropriate budgets for profitable growth, optimizing both in platform and across the total channel portfolio, advising on landing pages for testing and advising and testing performance creative concepts while staying adherent to brand standards.

We expect this role to be a mix of strategic and hands-on work in platforms. You'll partner with our Paid Social Manager to manage execution and lead an extensive testing roadmap with outside partners to learn the most incremental approaches to our media strategy and tactics in your respective channels.

  • Help ensure targets are hit while maintaining an efficient ROAS across digital channels
  • Develop digital acquisition strategies for core & new product launches
  • Explore and test into new scalable customer acquisition channels
  • Oversee the digital acquisition testing roadmap - running consistent tests against levers like channels, channel tactics, creative concepts, landing pages and more
  • Measure channel/tactic-level incrementality, working internally and with our measurement partners to continuously evolve & refine attribution model
  • Manage business and channel-level reporting to inform key stakeholders and levers to pull in a dynamic growth environment
  • Further build out a robust MarTech stack to support business growth
  • Assist in the reporting, marketing, and measurement of new distribution channel partners ( Amazon, Brick & Mortar)
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including: Design, Digital Product, Brand Marketing, Finance & Ops

Profile

  • 5+ years of experience leading strategy and execution across digital acquisition channels
  • You may not know how to design your own ads, but you have a strong sense of what works and can help to guide creative partners in designing performance concepts to test and scale
  • You're comfortable in a startup environment where there aren't always answers to every question and everyone does a bit of everything
  • You take initiative and have a relentless desire to optimize + improve metrics. You find things to explore and make it happen!
  • You're an analytical, data-driven thinker who can translate complex datasets into actionable insights, running experiments to guide our efforts
  • You're not precious about your "best practice playbooks" - if it can be tested, it will be tested! We lead with our guts but learn from data.
  • You make a mean pivot table and can synthesize thousands of rows of platform data into succinct learnings that you can translate out to relevant teams and stakeholders
