Devise, plan, deploy, and improve wireless networks from the beginning to implementation by collaborating with vendors, managers, and network engineers. Use tools to evaluate to test and tweak wireless products, such as routers, switches, hubs, bridges, virtual private networks (VPNs), and network amplifiers, among others. Design and validate the performance, quality, and reliability of the RF link. Design and implement WLANs and other wireless networks. Devise and support radio frequencies (RF) link performance, reliability, and quality. Coordinates the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed. Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks Designs and builds hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals May serve as a team or task lead Update and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP), system configuration documentation, current procedures involved with providing operational support, and hardware/software maintenance Must be able to obtain a DHS or CBP clearance or public trust. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BA/BS or equivalent, 10+ years of experience The likely salary range for this position is $112,000 - $168,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
