Sr. Data Engineer-Work from home-Evernorth

Remote, Work from home, United States The Digital Engineering & Assurance department is searching for a _Sr. Data Engineer_ to join one of the scrum teams working on AWS data integration solutions that enable Cigna's health care professional directory platform. Candidates not only must have solid experience in developing and testing data pipeline but they must be able to engage in architectural and requirements discussions with technology partners. As senior members of the team, they have the ability to capture the overall vision of the project and see to it that data strategies and test execution align with the vision. Key Responsibilities: + Understand various back-end and front-end architecture components required to formulate development strategies + Design, develop and test data workflows/pipelines, schemas/extracts and data transformation to ensure integrity in provider and cost data + Collaborate with scrum team/s in ensuring that test automation standards and solutions are in place based on business requirements + Ensure that data automation strategy meets both IT and Business goals. + Collaborate with test automation architects in continuously strategizing, researching and implementing technical solutions and tooling/proprietary software for the quality teams. + Participate in code review process Required Experience / Qualifications: + 5-7 years of experience working on data initiatives + Strong experience in data practices and technologies including data warehousing, data integration patterns (ETL, services, messaging), and analytics. + Proficient with Spark Scala or PySpark scripting + Hands-on experience in data analysis, data mining and data modelling + Hands-on experience with any of the data tools like Databricks, Jupiter, Google Colab, etc. + Good experience with DynamoDB or DBFS or Apache HBase + Experience with Parquet, Avro, Json data file formats + Experience with Cloud data processing services like AWS - S3, Elastic, Kibana; Azure + SQL knowledge and database/backend testing + Experience in business requirement analysis, test design, defect logging and tracking + Experience working in Agile/Scrum environment + Experience with test management tools like Rally and Jira Align Desired Experience / Qualifications: + Healthcare domain knowledge + Experience in testing other application layers such as UX and API for both web and mobile a big plus. + Solid experience in testing methodologies and software testing principles + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Solid analytical skills, highly organized, self-motivated and a quick learner + Flexible and willing to accept change in priorities as necessary If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload. For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 105,600 - 176,000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
