SUMMARY
The Software Development Engineer (SDE) will participate in all phases of software development to build services to support the goals of the organization on our Marketing Technology team. This position will be responsible for driving service and product performance opportunities, from idea generation to scoping, to strategy building and ultimately automation for self-monitoring, self-diagnosing and self-healing solutions. Additionally, the SDE will creatively deal with ambiguity and juggle cross-organization complexity.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Collaborate effectively with peer teams and key partner services to deliver robust engineering product.
• Design, document, develop, debug and test software solutions.
• Influence strategy and roadmap through technical and non-technical insights.
• Interface with customer support team and other engineers to gather requirements and determine scope of projects.
• Mentor junior team members in career growth and assist in task management and Agile planning.
• Organize and participate in collaborative Q&A sessions, workshops, presentations to share technical knowledge amongst the team.
• Solve difficult problems, applying appropriate technologies and best practices.
• Work to resolve the root cause of complex problems, leaving software better and easier to maintain.
• Work with software QA teams to develop test plans and test automation.
• Work with your team to invent, design, and build software that is stable and performant.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development/Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• At least five (5) years of extensive Java & Spring Boot experience.
• At least one (1) year of experience using AWS or other similar cloud services provider (DynamoDB, EC2, SQS, SNS, S3, and/or Redshift).
• At least one (1) year of experience with open source tools and frameworks (Git, SpringMVC, SpringBoot, Maven, Gradle, Ant, JUnit, Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.).
