Short-Term Disability Claims Processor (REMOTE)

Summary: Maintain a superior level of genuine caring and empathetic customer service throughout all interactions. Take appropriate actions to earn the claimants and employer's trust and confidence. Anticipate customer needs and act. Work as a team to support one another through flexibility, collaboration, creating a positive work environment, consistently maintaining professionalism and integrity, actively taking steps to foster high morale, and demonstrating a dedication to excellence. Make timely, accurate, and customer-focused Short-Term Disability, and/or Statutory Disability Insurance, and/or Absence Management claim decisions. Proactively reach out to clinical, vocational, employer, financial, and other informational internal and external sources to gather relevant data. Compare data to the applicable contract/administrative agreement and procedural documents. Conduct an analysis and engage peers and management as appropriate. Communicate verbally and in writing and fully leverage the claim system with accurate and comprehensive information. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of customer service experience. In lieu of a degree - 1-2 years of Short-Term Disability claims experience required. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office. Details: 100% Remote Equipment provided. Schedule: Monday - Friday First shift (40 hours per week) Pay: $20 - $23/hr. with no Short-Term Disability Experience. Pay: Up to $26/hr. with Short-Term Disability experience.
