Responsibilities

• Formulate UX research strategy and identify the appropriate methodologies to employ based on research objectives within policy and time constraints.
• Conduct user research by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and leverage results of this data to inform design decisions.
• Participate in product ideation and conceptual development. Participate as a contributor to an interdisciplinary team thatincludes creative and market leads, project management, strategists, and hardware and software developers.
• Utilize project management skills to follow up on user experience issues working with designers to modify design features to accommodate a widerange of end users.
• Effectively and diplomatically communicate with a variety of stakeholders while evangelizing UX principles and advocating for the user.

Required Experience/Qualifications

• 5 years experience required.
• Intermediate understanding of human-centered design approaches, methods, principles and skills.
• Intermediate experience in the planning and execution of a variety of generative and evaluative design research methods.
• Intermediate command of visual and communication design principles with experience applying them to digital experiences.
• Intermediate understanding of design systems, information architecture, design patterns and interaction design.
• Basic proficiency with design and presentation applications (i. e. AdobePhotoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, PowerPoint Paper, InVision)
• Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to present work to large groups.
• Able to function independently and in a team environment, with excellent collaboration skills.
• On-line portfolio demonstrating proficiency in conducting UX research and designing user interactions across digital experiences.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

• Intermediate experience working in an Agile delivery environment with Agile frameworks and methodologies such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Scrum, and Kanban.
• Experience with Jira management tools.

• Ability to obtain a Public Trust.
