The Difference You Will Make:

We are looking for Senior Software Engineers with expertise in backend engineering to help us build and integrate new technologies into the Airbnb Stack. You will get the unique career opportunity to work across multiple agile teams and make a significant impact for our Hosts and Guests. We are looking for people who have built new products from the ground up in a scalable way.

A Typical Day:

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Experience Designers and Engineers to design and deliver high-quality products and platforms.
• Build efficient and reusable backend (or frontend) components and architect reliable, performant, and scalable systems.
• Follow data-driven approaches to conduct experiments and iterate features.
• Evaluate and prototype with new technologies and techniques that can be added to our tech stack
• Mentor and support other engineers in the team and related teams

Your Expertise:

• 6+ years industry experience
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience
• Experience in building and scaling high-quality and high-traffic products (or systems).
• Ability to evaluate technical approaches and design product solutions to solve real-world problems.
• Ability to drive alignment, manage projects and effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
• Mentorship to junior developers
• Experience working with integrating with a 3rd party API

Your Location:

This position is US – Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. How We’ll Take Care of You:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

Pay Range

$185,000—$221,000 USD
