Senior Software Engineer, Process Automation (Remote Eligible)

About The Position: As a Software Engineer for the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) team, you'll use your expertise in Software Engineering by utilizing RPA Frameworks and other native coding languages to design, develop, and deliver Automations that can replace manual and time consuming work done today through manual processes. Working with other software engineers and specialists, your automated solutions will generate a return value to the line of business in which you are responsible. You will partner with other technologists including data engineers, cyber and architecture to deliver a best in class solution that meets the defined business requirements. • Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support process automation solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies
• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community
• Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive intuitive, compelling associate experiences that leverage automation
• Utilize programming languages like JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, SQL, Python, and a variety of AWS tools and services
• Support other tasks as needed, such as product migrations, Integration activities, vulnerability remediation, and platform maintenance tasks.
• Contribute to the overall strategy and goal development for the automation product
• Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends and best practices: experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in community of practice groups, and mentor other members of the RPA and Machine Learning communities
• Collaborate with multiple internal functions in the areas of infrastructure, technical operations, software engineering and customer support
• Act as a thought leader and advocate of Intelligent Process Automation technology in partnership with other technology groups

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 2 years of experience in software engineering
• At least 2 years utilizing RPA Platforms (UIPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of hands-on software delivery experience in at least one of the following: Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET
• 2+ years of experience with cloud computing
• 2+ years of experience in open source frameworks
• At least 1 year of using CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, CodeDeploy, or CodePipeline
• 1+ year of API usage utilizing SOAP/REST technologies
• 1+ year of experience working in an Agile software development environment
• 1+ year of AI or ML experience
• Cloud computing certification (AWS Solution Architect Associate, Google Associate Cloud Engineer)
• Domain specific certifications (Advanced RPA Professional)
• Bachelor's Degree in a Technical field, or equivalent experience

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Location is New York City: $156,596 - $184,748 for Senior Software Engineer

Location is San Francisco, California: $165,896 - $195,720 for Senior Software Engineer

Remote roles in other areas of New York & California, and across Colorado & Washington: $132,699 - $156,555 for Senior Software Engineer

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
