Overview

AbleTo’s Identity Services provide highly available services for all Patient, Provider and Payer data as well as support the implementation of new types of programs and product lines.

As Technical Lead, you share knowledge of best practices in software design and development with your team and ensure code quality is exceptional. You partner with other Tech Leads in defining and adopting architecture that both supports product vision and yields operational efficiencies. You enjoy working closely with product managers, engineers, designers and clinicians on your team to define, estimate, and deliver on major initiatives. You ensure systems and patterns are well documented and understood throughout the technology organization. And you have fun building high-performing applications that delight our users.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver and scale centralized patient and practitioner data services, which will improve data quality, maintainability and effectiveness for consuming applications
  • Help identify individual identities from disparate datastores, which will help AbleTo determine and deliver the best and most cost efficient care available to our patients
  • Be a Bar Raiser for Operational Excellence through well documented APIs, effective monitoring , useful agile processes, quality testing, coding and architectural best practices, then display and share knowledge of those best practices with other engineering leaders throughout the organization
  • Work with stakeholders to transform complex business logic into clean, reusable code written in React, Node.js and Typescript
  • Improve the onboarding process and developer experience for members of your team

Experience:

  • 7+ years of industry experience writing production code
  • 5+ years of experience using CI/CD automation tools and containerized cloud infrastructure
  • 5+ years of experience building applications with modern Javascript frameworks
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership role on a technical team
  • Understanding of common application security threats and attack vectors
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Deep knowledge of OOP fundamentals in an event-driven, microservice architecture
  • Strong familiarity with agile practices (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Familiarity with content management systems and related APIs
  • Nice to haves:
    • Experience with Google Cloud Platform
    • Familiarity with Apigee or similar API gateway
    • Experience in telehealth, mental health or healthcare

The salary range for this role is $115,000 to $165,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, AbleTo offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
