Title: Sr. Software Engineer

Lume is a 5-year-old fast growing ecommerce deodorant and personal care brand that’s transforming the way that humans do hygiene. We joined forces with Harry’s, another disruptive brand with great people and infrastructure, to accelerate our growth. We are a team of self-starters that roll up our sleeves and get it done. Our style is collaborative and very fast-paced so an adaptive personality is a must.

Title: Senior Software Engineer

Overview: Working closely with the development and creative team, you will develop and create new features and experiences for the user, working primarily in a React + Shopify environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Leadership of high-impact feature development on LumeDeodorant.com
• Working with other developers and software engineers to develop front-end and back-end architecture that’s well structured and flexible
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Write, test, debug, and implement code to meet user requirements
• Creating and enhancing current shopping experience
• Work closely with UX and design resources to ensure the technical feasibility of designs while maintaining user-centric focus

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in software engineering
• Experience working with Shopify
• Experience building websites with React, the ability to write lightweight, performance javascript without a framework is also key.
• Deep expertise in HTML, CSS, and Vanilla JS.
• Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues, GIT source code control and branching methodologies and debugging.
• Solving CSS/JS multi-browser compatibility problems
• Front-end performance optimization
• Experience with Figma
• Experience with page speed optimization. Working knowledge of web image formats, font loading techniques, and strategies for optimizing Core Web Vitals.
• Experience implementing Web Accessibility Standards.

This role can be done remotely, however there may be location constraints based on where Harry’s is registered and able to employ individuals. That said, our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total rewards package, which also includes a comprehensive set of benefits and our equity program. The base salary hiring range for this position is $130,000-$165,000, but the final compensation offer will ultimately be based on the candidate’s location, skill level and experience.
