About the role:
We are expanding our product development team and are looking to hire a Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer to champion engineering efforts on our core product. You'll be responsible for participating in feature definition sessions and implementation decisions that will bring new features to our customers.
What you'll do as a Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer at Bookkeeper360:
• Implement new features and technologies alongside the growing engineering team
• Use Rails 6+ to build, improve and update the Bookkeeper360 App
• Monitor reliability and performance of relevant systems
• Write and maintain RSpec tests
• Proactively identify and participate in improving code and application functionality
• Help mentor and teach junior team members via strong development practices

• A passion for helping small businesses
• 5+ years of full-stack Ruby on Rails experience
• A solid understanding of web standards
• A desire to learn and embrace the newest Rails features
• Proven ability to thrive in a remote-first environment
• Demonstrate an understanding of ActiveRecord concepts and conventions
• Experience or interest utilizing Elasticsearch to organize and chart time-series data
• Experience developing Fintech software is a plus
