We have team members located across the United States spanning multiple time zones. This means we put in extra effort to make sure we connect and collaborate in ways that make sense for us. We know how valuable the flexibility of remote work is for our employees.

We know that personal connection is the foundation for the great work we do together. In order to build those relationships with team members in other cities, we meet with coworkers in person two times a year at a full company offsite and a departmental offsite. These offsites are expected of employees and are great opportunities to meet the people you work with every day and to do some of the work that is much more difficult to do virtually.

What the Role Is

As a Senior iOS Engineer on Babylist’s Growth team, you will play a key role in driving user acquisition, engagement, and revenue growth through our iOS app, which is used by millions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will lead the development and optimization of features that enhance the overall user experience and contribute to the success of our growth initiatives.

Who You Are

• You have a solid understanding of software development principles and a practical grasp of the iOS platform’s ins and outs. Your proficiency in Swift and Objective-C enables you to navigate iOS development effectively.
• Your track record includes successful iOS app development using Swift and Objective-C. You’re comfortable with Interface Builder and coding UI elements, showcasing a commitment to practical and user-friendly applications.
• You’re familiar with Foundation, UIKit, CoreAnimation, Auto Layout, and other foundational Apple frameworks. Your hands-on experience allows you to build robust and visually appealing user interfaces.
• You have a practical interest in building consumer-facing products and e-commerce solutions. You understand the importance of delivering a solid user experience and are motivated to design straightforward and functional iOS apps.
• Your knowledge extends to iOS frameworks, architecture, and design patterns. With hands-on experience, you can leverage these tools to construct scalable and maintainable iOS applications.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Lead growth-focused development: spearhead the development of iOS features that align with the Growth team’s objectives, emphasizing user acquisition, activation, retention, and revenue generation.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to conceptualize and implement innovative solutions that address user needs and contribute to the overall growth strategy.
• Participate in the full development lifecycle, from ideation and design to testing and development. Your input and insights will be valuable in shaping the direction of the iOS app.
• Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making, leveraging analytics tools to monitor and approve app performance.
• Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in iOS development, mobile technologies, and growth strategies. Bring innovative ideas to the table to keep Babylist’s app at the forefront of the parenting landscape.

Babylist takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.

The estimated pay range for this role is $146,080.00 – $219,120.00

In addition, Babylist offers equity, bonus, and benefits, including company paid health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
