Human Resources designs, implements and delivers human resource programs and policies, including recruitment, talent management, diversity and inclusion, compensation and benefits, among others. This function anticipates and plans for long-term human resource needs in alignment with business strategies.
Benefits designs, implements and administers benefits plans, ensuring that the total benefits package is competitive with the market, meets company objectives, and is compliant. This job family manages relationships and coordinates with third party vendors for benefits plan development and administration, and collaborates with the Internal Communications family to educate employees and promote enrollment.
Responsibilities
- Support the daily implementation of communications plans and the delivery of communication programs within the organization regarding employee benefits and well-being topics.
- Work with other communications professionals across the organization for cohesive branding and messaging.
- Develop and disseminate timely and accurate information to employees, using print and digital communications including Cardinal’s intranet and benefits portal.
- Assist in developing presentation materials for annual enrollment and other benefit/HR initiatives throughout the year.
- Produce and/or assist in the conceptualization, design and implementation of assigned communication materials including videos, newsletters, employee communications, internal website, and various other campaigns for the benefits team.
- Develops knowledge on a range of health, welfare, wellbeing, and retirement offerings, guided by policy and focused on daily operations that involve close attention to content accuracy, brand and editorial standards.
- Works with external vendors to coordinate message timing, print production, mailing fulfillment and other communications vehicles.
- Active involvement across Total Rewards team with employee benefit presentations and projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Graphic Design, Public Relations or related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- 2+ years of graphic design experience; knowledge of industry standard software; Adobe creative software (Acrobat and InDesign), Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. preferred
- 2+ years of experience in program or project management preferred
- Experience producing communications, digital and print media.
- Knowledge of or experience with employee benefit programs, retirement benefit plans and well-being programs a plus
- Ability to develop materials across multiple platforms (collateral, presentations, talking points, web content, infographics, videos, etc.).
- Ability to conceptualize, produce and disseminate high-quality materials.
- Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts and distill technical concepts into clear, engaging materials.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills to convey complex issues into concise simple language.
- Experience managing multiple complex projects and programs within organizations of scale.
- Ability to communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale and design details; background in graphic design principles/best practices or software.

Anticipated hourly range: $25.80-36.80
