We've got what you're looking for. Job Description: Parsons is looking for a sharp Systems Software Engineer to join our growing Mission Solutions team! This opportunity can be supported full-time remote or hybrid, with the occasional travel to Colorado Springs. This Systems/Software Engineer will be joining a team responsible for the development of next generation software for satellite command and control systems, utilizing modern technologies in a variety of multi-tenant environments. You should be familiar with common DevSecOps and container orchestration technologies, multiple OSes, and deployment and orchestration methodologies to include supporting full CI/CD toolchains. In this role you will work on a scrum team with a US Government product owner. What Required Skills You'll Bring : + 10+ years relevant experience with a MS OR 14+ years of relevant experience and a BS, with wiggle room granted by the Customer. Additional years of experience can cover the lack of a degree. + No clearance needed to start, but you must have the ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD TS/SCI security clearance + Automation experience using established technologies (examples: Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Puppet, etc) + Agile mindset and likes to tackle complex problems and take initiative and responsibility + Software Engineering & Development skills such as (Java, Python, C#, C++) What Desired Skills You'll Bring : + Experience working with container technologies (examples: Kubernetes/Docker/Podman/Tanzu/Rancher/AWS EKS, etc) + Experience with common Kubernetes orchestration technologies OpenShift, Rancher, GKS, AWS EKS, etc. + Experience working with messaging servers (examples: Kafka, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, WebSphereMQ, ZeroMQ, GMSEC, etc.) + Experience working with IDAM solutions (examples: Active Directory, FreeIPA, etc) and PKI implementations + Experience writing scripts (examples: shell scripting, python, PERL, etc.) + Interacting with databases (examples: MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis, etc.) + Knowledge of microservices architecture + Experience automating the configuration of services via manipulating complex files in formats such as XML, json, etc. + ndustry standard patch maintenance systems such as Satellite and WSUS + Knowledge of monitoring tools (examples: Nagios, Splunk, Elk Stack, etc) + experience working with Satellite Ground Systems, Ground System Operations, or Satellite Operations + Design, implement and automate software as necessary for large-scale command and control systems + Apply agile development practices and techniques to adapt rapidly to changing requirements and schedules + Leads design, technical, and programmatic meetings, and resolves issues + Develops and reviews integrated technical and programmatic documentation + Software configuration management tools (examples: git, BitBucket, Jira, etc.) Keywords : Remote, Hybrid, Space Force, DoD, Automation, Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, Satellite Operations, etc. Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Not Applicable/None This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.
