ExamWorks is seeking a Systems Administrator to join the team! This positoin is remote-hybrid in Atlanta, GA Monday - Friday. The Systems Administrator is responsible for providing operational support to the Datacenter environment and clients of Nexworks. This position regularly communicates with management on the operational status of the Data Center and provides support to improve the quality of products and procedures. Candidates must have a vast knowledge to support a wide array of hardware platforms, operating systems, and software packages. They will actively work with vendors such as Microsoft, Cisco, Pure, Nimble, Trend, and VMware to provide the highest customer service and support for the environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical abilities, has creative problem-solving skills, is highly motivated, and contributes to a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Evaluate existing data center environments, design solutions that address business needs and implement efficient and cost-saving solutions for customers. Support business operations through functional engagement on all IT and IS support issues Coordinate conference calls regarding technical issues to provide the status of open opportunities and resource requirements to management. Analyze log files, performance issues, and the overall production environment for mission-critical systems. Provide Level 3 support for all installed platforms and provide operational health of the infrastructure and the applications used to control it. As such, leads problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations. Recommend development and design alterations to improve product quality and/or procedures. Coordinate with other IT departments as needed. Maintain confidentiality of all applicant, client, and company proprietary information. Maintain all system standards of compliance. Develops procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorized use, acts of nature, and user abuse. Develops procedures and documentation. Provide advice, training, and technical support for various projects as required. Ensure and promote effective and efficient utilization of company resources. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by Management. Qualifications Education and/or Experience Associate's degree or better in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a relevant field 3+ years experience with enterprise-level systems administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required Extensive experience in VMware with a strong knowledge of Microsoft products, PowerShell scripting, Cisco products, SAN technologies, TCP/IP networking, and firewalls QUALIFICATIONS Must have experience working within an agile ever-changing environment. Must have extensive VMware (ESXi, vSphere, vRealize, Horizon clients, etc.) Must have Experience with numerous Microsoft administrative applications such as Active Directory, SQL, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, IIS, PowerShell, etc. Experience with SAN appliances, such as Pure and Nimble Experience with Cisco Networking (switches, routers, ASA, sdwan) Experience with Cisco UCS or HP Synergy Must be able to manage and upgrade/migrate current Microsoft Server and Desktop Operating Systems. Must demonstrate exceptional communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively, and asking questions where clarification is needed. Must have strong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of interpreting customer business needs and translating them into application and operational requirements. Ability to analyze problems involving multiple interrelated causes; where necessary, gather information and apply complex concepts or methods to generate an effective solution. Must have exceptional knowledge of computer hardware, software, and technical troubleshooting skills. Must possess the ability to manage and direct change, delays, or unexpected events appropriately. Must keep up with the latest technology trends Must demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, look for ways to improve and promote quality, and monitor own work to ensure quality is met. Ability to work independently, prioritize work activities, and use time efficiently. Must be able to work with an internal ticketing system and possess strong documentation skills. Must be able to demonstrate and promote a positive team-oriented environment. Must work well under pressure or stressful conditions and meet required project deadlines. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Must be available outside of regular working hours as needed. This is due to the nature of IT as some tasks must be completed after business hours to minimize impact.
