REMOTE: Lead QA Analyst
(Available to work EST and/or MST schedule)
ROLE: Lead IT Quality Assurance Analyst who will lead the testing strategy and test team for large scale projects >50K hours. and oversee the day to day responsibilities of the testers on the project which may include onsite, onshore and offshore staff.
- Ideal candidate will have solid experience in both manual and automated testing along with experience collaborating with 3rd party vendors.
- Be comfortable with Agile and SCRUM and have strong learning agility, along with proven ability to influence and have excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to mentor others.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Develops and documents testing strategies and methodologies within the department and/or operating group and ensures they are applied.
- Communicates with internal and external contacts on large-scale company projects. Partners with PMs, Stakeholders and project sponsors.
- Analyzes the testing needs of a system, the risks posed by the possible defects in that new Status Reporting.
- Quantifies risk, identifies alternative test approach solutions and provides risk analysis.
- Reviews test plans, test cases and test script and provides oversight and coaching for the QAA on the project.
- Collaborates with the Automation Engineers on automation approach, tools and process.
Required skills: - Proven ability to organize and lead large complex testing efforts >50K hours.
- Experienced in leading testing efforts for Web Applications including Web Services and APIs
- Experience with SCRUM and working knowledge of Azure DevOps (Iteration/project management).
- Strong learning agility.
- Extensive knowledge and application of industry-standards, methodology, and terminology relating to software quality assurance, black box testing, white box testing and risk-based testing.
- Experience with web services and APIs and the technologies that support them.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, negotiate with and influence others.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) within team environment, business contacts and management.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities.
- Understanding of SQL Queries, Views and Stored Procedures.
Preferred skills and experiences: - Experience collaborating with vendors.
- Experience with integration and merging of systems.
- Experience with Cloud technology.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education and/or experiences listed below are the minimum requirements for job entry.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a Business or Information Technology discipline or other related field of study and a minimum of six years of work experience analyzing, testing and implementing business system changes or user acceptance testing. Experience must include planning, analyzing and executing testing of multiple applications with significant size, scope and complexity (e.g., Sales, Servicing, Billing Applications).
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of eight years of related work experience analyzing, testing and implementing business system changes or user acceptance testing, may be accepted.
