A well- established and rapidly growing Series A startup is hiring a hands-off Senior Manager/Director to oversee a team of 15 and take some tasks away from the current VPE. The current VPE oversees two teams and you will be taking over one of those teams. In this role you should have 10+ years of experience in the .NET Microsoft stack, experience leading a large diverse team, and experience in Microservices and cloud architecture. This team you will oversee develops the main customer-facing fintech application that allows for a unique paycheck experience, aiding generally low income and blue collar workers. Its a startup with an altruistic mission and roughly 100 total employees. The team you will oversee uses C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET 6, Angular 12, Rest Microservices, JavaScript, and Azure. This is a hands-off role so you will not be expected to code, but you will still be aiding in the architecture doing 20% architecture and 80% management. For the management side of this role you will be expected to budget and manage PTO for the team. You will also be heavily in involved in managing projects with product teams, enforcing standards and methodologies, keep systems in check in terms of production support on the team, manage the technical architecture, and continuously implement best practice guidelines. There is a lot of growth within this role as well. The application team will eventually split into two teams and you would be moved into more of a VP/Director position overseeing both teams efficiency. This team is highly collaborative with a lot of growth potential. It is a fully remote role, but everyone is mainly based in Southern California to attend holiday parties and meetups.
