As our Quality Assurance Engineer Manager (Automation), you’ll be developing processes and managing our main QA projects including integrating our growing automation suite into our CD pipeline and automating accessibility and security testing, while contributing to our manual and automated test suite.

We employ technology that connects patients and physicians and fosters a patient experience that is unrivaled in the industry, and we seek a directed Quality Assurance Engineer Manager that will ensure our product continues to ship with high quality features. This role will report directly to the VP of Technology. Primary duties will include organizing and writing automated tests, developing strategies to test accessibility and security and incorporating our automated suite into our deployment pipeline. This role is on a growing team, where our process and methods are still being formed, so we’re looking for someone who is collaborative and can think strategically.

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • 6+ years working as a quality assurance engineer with at least 3 years of leadership experience preferred (this role will be player/coach)
  • 3+ years experience writing automated tests and able to present a scalable solution for our automation needs
  • 1+ year of experience working in Python
  • Experience incorporating automated tests into a continuous delivery cycle
  • Domain knowledge of WCAG guidelines
  • Knowledge in multiple types of testing and how to best use each type to suit a project’s needs (E2E, Integration, UAT, Regression, etc.)
  • Experience designing, and maintaining automated tests, executing REST API tests, Git (or other source control management equivalent)
  • Ability to identify potential failures in software as well as the ability to track and report existing defects with precision and efficiency
  • Experience using business requirements to define thorough manual test cases

Nice to Have’s:

  • JIRA/Confluence/Zephyr experience
  • Familiarity with Healthcare/Benefit space
  • Comfort and/or experience in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • Familiarity with accessibility tools like JAWS, ScreenReader, SiteImprove, etc.
