PRINCIPAL IOS ENGINEER

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an iOS Principal Engineer for our Mobile Platform team. As an iOS Principal you will:

  • Design, break down, implement, ship, evaluate, document, and iterate on improvements to the native application platform.
  • Collaborate closely with your team and product and technical stakeholders.
  • Help lead technical decision-making on your team.
  • Understand and serve the needs of other mobile teams strategically and with partnership.
  • Influence work in mobile teams’ (and other cross-functional teams’) roadmaps.
  • Help guide the architecture of major new mobile efforts as we extend the impact of our native apps in the client experience.
  • Mentor other engineers, investing generously in their learning and growth.
  • Provide actionable, specific, and kind feedback to other engineers on their work.
  • Use your expertise, coupled with relevant data, to evaluate trade-offs and prioritize work.
  • Execute on short-term milestones with an understanding of their place in long-term strategy.

We cannot succeed without creative engineers. Your cross-functional team will propose and build solutions to move the state of the art of Stitch Fix technology forwards.

ABOUT THE TECHNOLOGY
Technologies we rely on to pursue solutions to business problems include:

  • Latest Swift version
  • iOS version: current and one previous version
  • GraphQL
  • Combine
  • SwiftUI and UIKit
  • Swift Concurrency
  • Unit & UI testing

iOS will be the core of your daily work, but experience with Android and GraphQL would be a big plus.

Even if you already have experience with these tools, you’ll have the chance to get even better with them. And if you don’t already use all of these tools, we will help you learn and become effective with them: we trust experienced engineers to be able to learn new skills in a new role and adapt to the particulars of our stack.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Our anticipated compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets, and the range below indicates the low end of the lowest-compensated market to the high end of the highest-compensated market. This position is eligible for new hire and ongoing grants of restricted stock units depending on employee and company performance. In addition, the position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and other benefits. Applicants should apply via our internal or external careers site.

Salary Range

$226,000$240,000 USD
