Middleware Admin (Remote)

This is a remote position open to any qualified applicant in the United States. • Candidate must keep or improve stability and reliability of MQ environments and proactively react to grow/risks/issues • Implements enterprise MQ standards across the portfolio of MQ managers • The candidate must demonstrate very strong problem solving and communication and must be willing to work with several product lines on several assignments concurrently • Keep the MQ current version maintain the most possible uptime and minimize MTTR when incident occur, proactively resolve middleware risks • Ensure technology integration with web servers, application servers, messaging and integration solutions, security, and identity solutions. • Proactive MQ alert managements, and ability to enhance custom alerting solutions • Familiar with AWS deployment strategy and most common services is a plus • Maintain and support backup and recovery strategy • Experience with Java Spring framework, Perl, Python, Unix shell scripting and AWS Lambda functions a plus. • MQ topic and subscription Management a must have. • Integration with remote Queue Management and external Queue Managers. • Routine MQ key database and certificate management • Manage and maintain MQ Administration tool and provide self-service access to Development teams. • Consults with end users, leadership, vendors, and technicians to assess system and non-functional requirements. Experience: • Min 4-6 years of experience as MQ Series Administrator or related field Unix administration • Proficient in MQ Series 9.X features including channel access authorization • Familiar with Red Hat Linux or any other flavor of Linux • In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL upgrade process • Knowledge of UNIX Operating Systems including storage/network infrastructure is a definitive plus • Collaborate with internal customers/leading MQ Series standup/migration projects for internal organizations • Engaging other MQ Administrators helping in work distribution if needed Technical Skills SNo Primary Skill Proficiency Level Rqrd./Dsrd. 1 Jboss AMQ Administration PL3 Required 2 IBM MQ Administration PL3 Required Proficiency Legends Proficiency Level Generic Reference PL1 The associate has basic awareness and comprehension of the skill and is in the process of acquiring this skill through various channels.
