Manager/Associate Director, Proposal Writer - CDMO - REMOTE

Be the first line of technical support to the business development and marketing teams in the U.S and Europe for Biologics CDMO service offerings. The successful candidate will provide scientific support to the business development team in customer meetings via conference calls, in-person meetings and lead the technical aspects of the discussions with the customer

This client is a growing international full-service CDMO within the biotechnology space looking to aggressively expand its footprint in the US. The company has a strong base of Biologics, Clinical Research, Bioanalytical Sciences, DMPK, Cell and Gene Therapy and other capability centers across the US. This business has developed a fantastic brand globally and in the US through exceptional service which drives repeat business.

Description

  • Actively participate in customer meetings along with the business development team member, and lead the technical aspects of the discussion to provide information, present data to showcase our technical capabilities and experiences, and move the dialogue towards wining the business deal.
  • Internally follow-up with the Chinese site to find answers to deeper technical questions that may be requested by the customer, follow up with the customer and promptly provide such information to the customer, and help the business development team to close the deal.
  • Play a key role in ensuring that the proposal strategy is executed by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs, studying requests for proposals (RFPs), attending meetings.
  • Write customized proposals to specific RFP questions based on information gathered from various subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Write concise executive summaries that detail company's key selling points and differentiators.
  • Collaborate with and support internal stakeholders to ensure overall cohesion and consistent messaging when incorporating input from various SMEs into master document, critically review input from SMEs.
  • Maintain professional quality of proposals by ensuring text is concise, clear, and coherent and ensure that text adheres to proposal writing, formatting and presentation guidelines and conventions.
  • Submit proposals in a timely manner.
  • As requested by the customer help the business team fill information in any Request for Information forms
  • Follow-up with the customer along with the business development team and review the proposal, answer questions, explain gaps in understanding and revise the proposal if and when needed.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and happenings.
  • Be an internal technical resource for the business development and marketing teams, educating them on the latest technologies through short workshops and presentations. Updating them on the latest technologies and technical trends in the drug development and CDMO world.
  • Provide technical training to new members of the business development team.
  • Support and lead technical marketing activities by working closely with international colleagues and drafting technical and marketing material for seminars and webinars.
  • Presentation in conferences, seminars, and webinars. Drafting white papers.
  • Participate in industry trade shows and related promotional efforts.

Profile

  • A bachelor's degree is required, an advanced degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline is preferred.
  • 3 + years' experience working in a technical role in a CDMO, or biologics manufacturing in a Pharma/Biotech setting is required. 5+ years' experience is preferred.
  • 3+ years of relevant writing experience in a CDMO environment.
  • Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is higlhy preferred, but not required
  • Demonstrated expertise and knowledge in the drug development and manufacturing market, specifically large molecules and or biologics.
  • Superior skills in presenting, consulting, and building relationships with senior scientists and corporate leaders.
  • Strong skills in written and verbal communication and relationship building.
  • Experience and comfort working with multiple cultures and ethnicities.
  • Authorization to work within the U.S
