GTS Scheduling Services Team is a Level 3 team which provides advising services, operational support and process management globally within Workload Automation-Control-M scheduling technologies for the US, NL and UK distributed and US mainframe environments. Maintain and run the Control-M and Control-M Enterprise Manager software that supports the automated batch scheduling system for the Data Center. Perform highly complex Control-M administration and computer systems analysis. Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems of automated processing in addition to providing technical support of existing job flows and scheduling systems. Provide training and knowledge transfer to staff members in all aspects of Control-M and Control-M Enterprise Manager.Job Description What You Will Do: + Install, upgrade, configure, and maintain Control M infrastructure. + Analyze and resolve Control-M system problems and execute Control-M utilities as required. + Provide technical support to the controlled systems, which include all version of UNIX and Windows. + Work closely with other support teams and BMC vendor for various support needs. + Perform Control-M/Enterprise Manager (EM and CM) maintenance including Control-M agent maintenance and upgrades. + Administer, oversee and support the upgrade/installation process and procedures. + Implement application-related functionality and possess a working knowledge of associated Control modules, plug-ins and APIs. + Provide technical and statistical reporting as it relates to the Control-M environments including statement of capacity reporting and diagnostics for vendor. + Analyze and test new or existing procedures, information systems, or utility programs for efficiency and effectiveness including: + Requirements, procedures and problems to determine the need for further automation or to improve existing systems from end users + Customer requests and take appropriate action to add, delete, or modify production, test, system, user and housekeeping applications + Be available to provide on call after hours support if needed. What You Will Need: + Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience with an emphasis on distributed platforms. + Expert in server and database technologies or four years of system administration experience at server or database levels + Experience in Control-M installation, configuration and administration skills (with BMC Workload Automation - Control-M version 9.0 or higher) + In-depth experience with Control-M batch development skills + Experience with Unix/Linux Server Operation System + Experience with Windows Server Operation System + In-depth experience with component security Full Control-M and E/M Security + Experience with CTM and E/M databases and structure, preferably Oracle + Experience in training/knowledge transfer of Control-M administration + Experience with Cloud technologies and the integration with enterprise level system configurations - preferably AWS and Azure + Ability to prepare required artifacts accurately and in a timely fashion. + Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills + Ability to work independently in a diverse team environment + Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task with readiness to put in extra efforts when necessary + Ability to learn quickly and retain knowledge of environment and systems + Ability to work with business customers, section managers, project managers, business analysts and subject matter experts (SMEs) in a professional and collaborative manner to define strategies and implementation approaches.
