GDIT is seeking a Java Developer to support a US Air Force program that is playing a major role in strengthening and modernizing America's Strategic Deterrent Force. GDIT will develop and deliver a digital engineering design solution which enables and integrates the program's complete set of data, tools, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) activities, and makes them available to internal and appropriate external engineering and programmatic stakeholders throughout the program's lifecycle. This effort will culminate in an abstracted, highly transportable Digital Engineering Environment (DEE) delivered to the Government, to be instantiated "virtually" on the Government's network infrastructure and updated during the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of weapon system development. GDIT has a great opportunity for a Java Developer to work with a technology stack in a collaborative, productive Agile development environment. Duties: Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and analyzes complex software programs for computer-based systems Follows and implements agile CI/CD practices Develops complex documentation, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming Performs complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysis. Designs and develop basic compilers, assemblers, utility programs and operating systems Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; and following the software development lifecycle Develops documentation of new or existing programs Applies practical knowledge of job typically obtained through advanced education and work experience Required Skills: BA/BS degree or equivalent with 2+ years Java development experience Experience implementing container-based CI/CD for Java applications preferred Experience developing RESTful services and APIs with Java preferred Experience with graph databases and UML modelling preferred Experience providing program, portfolio, and team level process, mentoring and coaching to senior leadership, portfolio managers, and teams Experience with ad-hoc coaching and mentoring techniques preferred Desired Skills: Cameo TinkerPop Gremlin Spring Framework Bash Kubernetes AWS Git Maven Docker Gitub Gitlab Security Clearance: Secret Required, ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance Work Location HOME, 100% remote Travel WHAT GDIT CAN OFFER YOU: Full-flex work week 401K with company match Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career Collaborative teams of highly motivated critical thinkers and innovators Ability to make a real impact on the world around you The likely salary range for this position is $67,683 - $113,048, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
