Position description This is a full time remote position within the United States. The Reporting Systems and Solutions team is seeking a skilled and highly motivated individual to provide development and support for Mayo Clinic's implementation of Epic as our Electronic Health Record (EHR) environment. Responsibilities of this position will be, but not limited to: + Use of relational databases and coding in SQL. + Develop reporting and analytics solutions using the Epic Cogito suite of tools. + Size and track work timelines through a tool such as Microsoft ADO. + Validate requirement information with the stakeholders to ensure completeness, correctness, clarity, and confirm it satisfies the stated business need. + Design, develop, implement, test, and maintain reporting and analytic deliverables sourced from Epic to customers at all Mayo Clinic sites. + Understand the workflow processes and the impact IT can have on the business environment. + Produce and maintain documentation such as system requirements, designs, resource inventories, and plans. + Work with a team to develop proposals, create the proper documentation, and obtain required institutional approvals. + Evaluate all possible solutions and present recommendations to the team and leadership. + Handle ad-hoc questions and resolve support incident tickets. + Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies that directly affect the Mayo EHR reporting and analytics environment. + Maintain awareness of overall enterprise architecture and direction provided by leadership. Candidate would ideally have previous experience utilizing analytics and data reporting tools (such as Crystal Reports or Tableau) with a relational database. Candidate will need to commit to quickly obtaining and maintaining Epic certifications in Cogito Fundamentals, Caboodle Data Model Fundamentals, and Clarity Data Model Fundamentals. Mayo Clinic will not sponsor or transfer visa for this position including F1 OPT STEM. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and training/experience in technical development; OR, Associate's degree and 5 years' professional experience in technical development. Additional qualifications Knowledge of system design principles, software development methodologies, and computer programming. Ability to take responsibility and accountability for own activities. Possesses ability to multi-task and prioritize issues appropriately. Aids in the evaluation of alternative approaches and may help in presenting recommendations to teams and unit. Evidence of strong communication and organizational skills. May interface with vendor support service groups or other external support teams to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance. Acts as a liaison to Mayo departments and vendors to adequately support the division's computing systems. Experience working in healthcare technology. Exposure to managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied applications.
