Integration Developer (Remote) About the College Information Technology at Cornell provides technology services to support and enable the academic and research activities of the university, and develops innovative and sustainable solutions that differentiate the university from its peers. About the Department The university's central IT organization is comprised of Cornell Information Technologies (CIT) and the Office of the CIO. They collaborate with the IT Service Groups (ITSGs) and a variety of partners and stakeholders to manage the IT infrastructure and provide university-wide services to the Cornell community. Cornell Information Technologies (CIT) is responsible for supporting the business infrastructure, informational software, and video, data, and telecommunications services at Cornell. The Opportunity The integration developer will share responsibility for the operational support of the existing Boomi integration inventory, as well as the development of new integrations in the support of new system implementation projects. This position involves collaborative work with business customers, developers, and vendors. The expectation of this role is that the candidate has proven experience with integration and API development. The integration developer should have experience developing complex integrations with Boomi, or similar iPaaS platform. The integration developer is expected to perform integration development tasks with little to no assistance. General Qualifications Willingness to learn, self-discover and use new computing tools, programs, languages, and practices. Personal, organizational and communication skills necessary to provide excellent customer service in resolving highly technical issues in a higher education setting. Work proactively to ensure proper availability of systems/services. Maintain multiple projects involving various end users, meet timelines and proactively communicate status updates. Interact appropriately with campus-wide information technologists, end users, and vendors. Demonstrate calm under pressure, is a proactive contributor with an eagerness to learn. Present ideas and deliver training in group settings. Strong communication with the aptitude to translate business and technical needs and interact with others at all levels. Experience using a programing language. Experience with SQL, web services (SOAP, Rest), JSON and XML, Python programming. Experience with java, JavaScript, and SQL procedural language, such as PL/SQL a plus Knowledge of project management and business methodologies a plus. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in information technology/computer science or related field and 2 to 4 years of related experience or equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Experience developing integrations between large applications such as: PeopleSoft, WorkDay, and SalesForce. Adept with changing priorities, ability to multi-task, and handle urgent interruptions with high level of professionalism and a positive attitude. Employees are expected to meet all of the Cornell University Staff Skills for Success, which are essential for individual and organizational success. Employees may be required to work outside of normal business hours, including occasional holidays, evenings, and weekends. No Visa Sponsorship is available for this position. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to programming languages and web-based technologies such as Python, Java, C#, C++, APEX, HTML, JavaScript, CSS. Experience with software development. Certified Boomi Developer. Experience developing and deploying integrations using Boomi. Experience developing and supporting Boomi Master Data Hub (MDH). Proactive contributor with an eagerness to learn new technologies from a developer perspective. Excellent troubleshooting with the aptitude to resolve difficult problems. Work effectively on multiple projects, meet deadlines, proactively communicate status updates and interact with customers and stakeholders. Coursework and long-term interest in computer science or information science. Work with highly collaborative teams and project management methodologies. Design and execute unit and user acceptance test plans. Participation in knowledge sharing and mentorship. Self-motivated, self-starter. Strategic thinking.
