General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a remote Cloud Network Engineer/Architect who is ready to work with new technologies and architectures in a forward-thinking organization that's always pushing boundaries. The ideal candidate must have experience with designing and implementing computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks. Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning, including analysis of capacity needs for network infrastructures. You must be a US citizen and willing to get security clearance when required. Required Skills: Design, plan and implement client-specific cloud solutions Ensuring the cloud network is responsive to user demands Scaling cloud services to serve growing businesses Troubleshooting issues which arise Liaising with business owners and/or stakeholders to determine growth plans Monitoring usage of cloud network Implementing effective security strategies on cloud networks Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines Experience maintaining up-to-date documentation, and prepares documentation for infrastructure/network changes Desired Skills: Experience working in Agile teams Certification with AWS cloud technologies Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree, 15+ years of experience Required Certification AWS Certified Advanced Networking -or- Google Certified Professional Cloud Network Engineer Clearance: Must be a US citizen and willing to get security clearance when required Location Remote WHAT GDIT CAN OFFER YOU: Full-flex work week 401K with company match Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career Collaborative teams of highly motivated critical thinkers and innovators Ability to make a real impact on the world around you The likely salary range for this position is $148,000 - $222,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
