What You’ll Do Here: As part of a high-performance team, the Content Developer supports in-house and out-of-house development of both print and non-print STEM and Social Studies products to clarify, strengthen, and enhance their quality. Supports leadership efforts to manage complex projects to ensure timely delivery and cost effectiveness.

  • Through detailed evaluation of content in a variety of media (including print, video, software, and Internet), and in close collaboration with consultants and other Content Developers, strives to achieve content that is correct, factual, clear, representative, complete, current, legal and consistent and standards-based.
  • Implements innovative and effective pedagogical features and content based on market trends and company initiatives.
  • Supports content development intention to follow accepted processes and standards focused around the target audience for optimal product success in the market.
  • Participates with Product Development Manager, Supervising Content Developer, Senior Content Developers, consultants, and subject matter experts in developing a viable and attractive product premise.
  • Helps conceptualize and develop plans for product development.
  • Supports projects to meet objectives for customer acceptance, scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Works with content subject matter experts, development partners, and freelance professionals in the capacity instructed by project and department needs.
  • Works to meet submission deadlines and requirements for state adoptions.
  • Works with technology teams to design and implement digital products.

Skills You Will Need Here:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Familiarity with K12 market dynamics
  • Minimum of 4 years print and digital educational product development experience
  • Tech savvy with a basic understanding of new media and technology, including publishing technology, such as Adobe InCopy and Acrobat Pro, in addition to Google Docs, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work with software teams and learning processes
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with budgets and schedules
  • Flexibility to accept cross-functional responsibilities as assigned
