DevSecOps Systems Engineer Advisor (Secret, preferred) - 100% Remote in USA

The position will support a US Air Force program that is playing a major role in strengthening and modernizing America's Strategic Deterrent Force. General Dynamics Information Technology will develop and deliver a digital engineering design solution which enables and integrates the program's complete set of data, tools, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) activities, and makes them available to internal and appropriate external engineering and programmatic stakeholders throughout the program's lifecycle. This effort will culminate in an abstracted, highly transportable environment delivered to the Government, to be instantiated "virtually" on the Government's network infrastructure, and updated during the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of weapon system development. For this effort, General Dynamics Information Technology will use cloud based concepts including IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service); PaaS (Platform as a Service); and SaaS (Software as a service) and containerization concepts including Terraform and Docker to buildout the DEE. Together, the application of these concepts will result in a Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC). DevSecOps Systems Engineers will assist in the development, implementation, and tuning of management and monitoring tools needed to ensure the DEE is operating within optimal performance parameters. Along with Security Specialists, Systems Engineers will direct Systems Administrators in performing the migration of applications to the Development environment, and when ready they will perform the migration to the Government instance of the DEE. Required Skills: Experience designing and defining system architecture for new or existing computer systems Experience building/managing servers in the AWS (Amazon Web Services) environment. Experience with developing pipelines to install and configure complex Siemens software. Experience with GitLab, Ansible, Docker, and AWS to deliver innovate solutions; auutomating the creation of AWS resources using Terraform with GitLab pipelines. Create detailed documentation for technical and non-technical audiences Supported agile team with expertise and troubleshooting abilities Experience maintaining up-to-date documentation, and prepares documentation for infrastructure changes. Desired Skills: Experience working in Agile teams Active DOD Secret Clearance Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering The likely salary range for this position is $128,000 - $192,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
