Overview:

LivePerson is looking for talented CloudOps Manager to take our Cloud Operations to the next level. The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to hire, mentor, train, motivate, retain, and lead new team members.

You will:

  • Lead the Cloud Operations and Virtualization team, responsible for GCP cloud operations, virtualization systems (VMware + OpenStack), image management, VM provision automation, and various other platform solutions the company relies on.
  • Lead the troubleshooting of complex incidents in production environments.
  • Manage and oversee the cloud infrastructure, ensuring high levels of availability and performance.
  • Collaborates with the Security team to ensure infrastructure embraces and applies necessary security strategy.
  • Drive the development and engagement of employees through professional development programs, tasks of increasing complexity, projects, and engagements.
  • Provide direction on emerging technologies to be incorporated into infrastructure products and services to deliver the overall IT strategy successfully.
  • Introduces innovative, differentiating infrastructure capabilities that enhance our overall competitive capabilities and employee productivity.
  • Help drive cloud-first initiatives with best-of-breed industry providers such as GCP, AWS, and Azure.
  • Identifies and requests changes that impact the enterprise; understands the change management process, risk assessments, and risk mitigation for each change; plans, briefs, and implements the change.

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline, or in place of a 4-year degree, equivalent engineering work experience in a CloudOps, DevOps, or similar role.
  • 6+ years of experience in a DevOps or CloudOps role with 2+ years of management experience.
  • Strong experience in one of the major public cloud providers (GCP, AWS, or Azure, with GCP being preferred).
  • Strong leadership skills and a desire to mentor junior talent.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Cloud certifications in GCP, AWS, or Azure are preferred.
  • ITIL certification is preferred.
