Description
The Health Information Management Professional 2 ensures data integrity for claims errors. The Health Information Management Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
Responsibilities
The Encounter Submissions Reporting Analyst will develop accurate and timely reporting to ensure successful encounter submissions. This includes ensuring all submissions meet compliance standards for the various lines of business. Join a highly specialized growing team that utilizes innovative reporting techniques to create more efficient reporting tools for business decisions. Work with cross-functional teams to delve into data needs and make decisions on best practices that support Humana’s core values. Be creative and inventive while you work with these teams in order to create exciting new ways to develop reporting needs or filling gaps identified within the data.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills: communicate findings and impacts in a clear and professional manner
- Utilize out of the box thinking to come up with new solutions. Utilize critical thinking to prioritize the problems and determine feasibility of resolving or preventing in the future.
- Innovate and look for a better way of creating and monitoring trends with CMS and Medicaid submission data
- Think outside the box establish more efficient reporting methods
- Create and maintain various reports utilizing tools such as Python, ASA, SQL
- Extract, manipulate, research, and analyze large data sets
- Excellently communicate highly technical details to leadership in a comprehensible way
- Research all data elements for claims thoroughly to truly understand claim behaviors
- Identify and report all system issues to leadership in a timely manner
- Create and follow any IT tickets needed to ensure resolution
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of reporting and data analysis
- Minimum of 1 year of SQL experience – must be able to create queries, sub queries, common table expressions, temp tables, joins and unions
- 1 year of Python
- Minimum of 1 years Microsoft Excel reporting (ie: graphs, pivot table, vlookup, etc)
Preferred Qualifications
- Process Improvement experience
- Power BI experience or other dashboard experience
- PLSQL/Netezza knowledge
- EDW knowledge
- Working knowledge of CAS, Medicare Products, MRA submission system, X-12 format
- Present and communicate with leadership reports and other findings of analysis reports
- Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
