What You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities
The Standard is currently seeking a full-time Customer Onboarding Specialist for either the Portland office, or remote location. The compensation level for this position is P2core and P3core.

Join The Standard as Customer Onboarding Specialist! In this customer-facing role, you will be responsible for a successful, smooth customer onboarding experience from start to finish, for new Employee Benefits customers.

In this role, you will:

  • Gather information from the customer, Producer, and Sales Representative after the sale has been finalized.
  • Submit the group information to Policyholder Services teams while ensuring that the material correctly represents customer intent.
  • Manage the new group through the drafting of contracts and initial bills while responding to customer questions.
  • Install the new group once contracts and bills have been completed.
  • Educate the customer about The Standard products, services and value proposition.
  • Utilize every customer interaction to build trust by improving their experience with our service model.
  • Be viewed as the expert within the onboarding team as you provide best-in-class customer service!

The Skills & Background You’ll Need

  • Direct customer-facing experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (phone & email).
  • Experience working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with identifying issues and problem resolution.
  • Experience managing multiple projects with demanding time constraints
  • Knowledge of billing/reporting setup, contract/document issue, billing, and specialized administrative activities.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office & Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Experience with Salesforce & DocuSign is preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED is required. Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
  • 5 to 7 years of group insurance experience is preferred.

Please note – the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.
Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

  • Salary Range: $61,250.00 – $89,750.00
