We are looking for a lead-level Content Designer with games experience to help us push the boundaries of what games could be on Netflix. This role will work closely with a world-class team of other content designers and writers, product designers, product managers, engineers, and cross-functional game partners to enable millions of members around the world to enjoy games on Netflix. As our games effort grows, we’re seeking a full-time Content Designer to lead innovation workstreams in order to explore and improve how our members access, discover, and play games on Netflix.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Content Design, UX Writing, and Content Strategy, with the ability to multitask while working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment. They’ll be self-motivated, proactive, highly organized, and have a steadfast attention to detail. They’ll also be able to prioritize their own work, communicate effectively, and represent their work to key stakeholders. And of course, they’ll have a passion and enthusiasm for games.

NOTE: This is NOT a writing position for the content of the games themselves, but rather the UI presentation of games on the Netflix service.

Responsibilities:

-Initiate, define, and lead new Content Design projects from concept to completion across the games product area.

-Collaborate with fellow designers (content, visual, interactive, motion) and prototypers to explore and evolve how game experiences are presented on Netflix.

-Write UX copy for Netflix Product UI and devise content strategy for the presentation of information about games on Netflix.

-Execute explorations for A/B testing and qualitative research, using data to inform Content Design decisions that will engage viewers and retain them.

-Document the language and word choices in design specifications, while also adhering to the existing Games glossary and style guide.

-Adding and revising the existing Games glossary and style guide as needed.

-Present the Content Design work to key stakeholders, team members, and other Content Designers and Writers for visibility and feedback.

-Define Content Design workflows and parameters for the work to drive discussion and bring to implementation.

Requirements:

-8+ years of experience in Content Design, Content Strategy, and/or UX Writing.

-A storyteller at heart, who can craft and orchestrate cohesive narratives across product touchpoints.

-Highly organized with an attention to detail, able to effectively prioritize and respond accordingly to the shifting needs of the team.

-Comfortable with ambiguity, driving decisions and output from conception to completion.

-Ability to partner with designers and researchers to hone in on and define a strong product voice and a specific message.

-Experience developing design systems and language frameworks or rubrics.

-Communicating productively with visual thinkers and being comfortable advocating for your point of view in our candid, feedback-driven culture.

-A proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.

-A positive attitude, especially when faced with changing responsibilities and workflows.

-Experience working with large cross-functional teams to drive impact.

-Enthusiasm and passion for games, and bringing Netflix Games to members all around the world.

-Expertise with interactive or games content preferred.

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location.

The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $80,000-$550,000.

This market range is based on total compensation (vs. only base salary), which is in line with our compensation philosophy. Netflix is a unique culture and environment.
