Role

Upswing is hiring a Business Development Representative (BDR) that will help build the pipeline and support our Sales team. The person in this role will have the opportunity to work closely with our internal sales and marketing teams in addition to connecting with VP/Provost/Deans of universities and colleges.

Responsibilities

  • Research, contact and qualify leads for the Sales Team (inbound and outbound)
  • Create target prospect and build internal pipeline
  • Cold call prospects to introduce them to Upswing
  • Identify key players, researching and obtaining business requirements, and presenting solutions to began sales cycle
  • Use email, phone and social media, contact prospects to articulate
  • Work closely with the Sales Team on support and execution on their strategies
  • Create strong relationships with internal teams and stakeholders
  • Engage in informative conversations with prospects designed to discover sales opportunities
  • Track all activities in Salesforce

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience working as a BDR/ISR/SDR
  • You have excellent written & verbal communication skills and ideally have prior experience in a client/customer facing role
  • You have experience working with higher education institutions (preferred)
  • You are curious and love to learn to skills
  • You are organized and sincerely empathetic
  • You are a compelling writer who crafts grammatically impeccable emails
  • You are comfortable communicating with higher level administrators in a professional manner
