Title: Virtual Algebra I Tutor
Location: United States
Part-Time
Littera Education is seeking virtual middle school math tutors for rapid onboarding – sessions begin in January 2024!
If you are qualified, interested, and ready to complete your application, and onboarding, should you be extended an offer, we invite you to apply today!
An upcoming large algebra program will require tutors to be available a minimum of four weekdays. On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and/or Friday, tutors are asked to open calendar availability for at least two hours within the hours of 8am and 4pm ET (the same two hours on all five days).
Please note, this is a remote contract position and is not full-time. This role is perfect for you if you are interested in earning supplemental income with a flexible schedule that you choose, we do not guarantee a set number of hours per week.
How are tutors scheduled?
Littera tutors set their availability in their tutor dashboard. The platform begins to seek to match a tutor with an ongoing program series and considers the tutors selected grade levels and subjects, as well as curriculum orientations completed at Littera. Curriculum is provided for all sessions.
The platform may match a tutor with a tutoring series quickly, or the platform may continue to search for a match for the tutor over a number of weeks, based on the incoming student subjects/levels/schedule, and the tutor profile.
Littera prioritizes a consistent student:tutor relationship. Tutors are matched with the same student(s) a few times each week, for a series of weeks, as part of the tutoring program. Opening consistent calendar availability, week to week, is requested.
What will you do as a Littera tutor?
Requirements
Optional: Tutors are invited to complete the tutor fingerprinting steps at Littera, including being fingerprinted in person, to be eligible to work with school districts that request fingerprinted tutors. Fingerprints previously completed are not transferable.
