Job Overview:

As a UX/UI Designer within Lexias Product Design & UX organization, you will be part of the team that shapes the future of our product portfolio by positively impacting young learners and educators in rewarding ways.

You will work with Product Management, Product Design, Instructional Design, and Engineering to create innovative user experiences and interfaces for our suite of educational software products used by K-12 students, teachers, and administrators worldwide.If you want to make a difference, Lexia may be the right place for you.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and develop creative and thoughtful educational design solutions to meet a projects goals, while upholding Lexias high standards of quality.
  • Present, discuss, advocate for, and deliver design assets and artifacts at various stages of the product and feature design process, including conceptual diagrams, wireframes, storyboards, mockups, prototypes, and ready-for-development, fully annotated final designs.
  • Conduct concept and usability testing; gather, evaluate, and present user feedback.
  • Actively participate in team retrospectives, backlog grooming, and other Agile ceremonies and team meetings.
  • Establish and advocate for UX/UI best practices, guidelines, and standards.
  • Be unrelenting in the pursuit of quality and a fierce advocate for the user experience.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of product design and UX experience with at least 1 year in SAAS development.
  • A proven portfolio that demonstrates a solid understanding of process, user flows, and visual design and shows a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of user research and testing methodologies and techniques.
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe CC
  • Experience in designing for accessibility (WCAG) standards.
  • Keen understanding of common web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to confidently communicate thoughts and ideas, written and verbal, to product teams and stakeholders.
  • Equal proficiency with rapid development of high and low-fidelity prototypes
  • Proven ability to generate divergent solutions in the early stages of the design process and thoroughly evaluate each idea to establish the ideal direction.
  • Able and willing to provide and receive constructive and actionable feedback as a routine part of the design process.

  • Experience with Agile, SAFe, Kanban, or other software development frameworks a plus
