Kooth US is seeking a UX Copywriter to edit, develop, and manage UX content for the Soluna app, the only digital mental health app offering self-support, peer support, and professional support to Gen Z all in one place — at zero cost.

What you will do:

 

Content creation & delivery:

  • Independently own and manage all UX copywriting requests for the Soluna app (both mobile and web versions) from intake to delivery
  • Ideate, edit, revise, and deliver original, engaging copy for a variety of tools, features, and user journeys 
  • Craft clear, concise, user-friendly copy for buttons, notifications, tooltips, and other interface elements aligned to internal brand guidelines and UX best practices
  • Ensure consistency in UX copy tone, voice, and relevance to a Gen Z audience 
  • Regularly review and refine existing copy to improve clarity, usability, and overall user experience

 

Interdisciplinary collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and engineers on other teams to develop engaging, logical, and seamless user journey flows throughout the Soluna app
  • Participate in cross-team copy review sessions to ensure brand voice and writing conventions are maintained app-wide and to protect the integrity of the user experience 
  • Provide feedback and/or edits on copy produced by other departments to ensure alignment with Soluna’s brand guidelines and UX best practices
  • Work closely with the design, product, engineering, user research, and clinical teams to understand user needs and align copywriting efforts with the app’s broader UX/UI goals

 

Content strategy:

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for improving in-app messaging, user guidance, and overall navigation and user experience app-wide
  • Develop and own a strategy for translating existing mobile app copy into web app copy
  • Stay up to date with UX/UI best practices and trends, incorporating insights into copywriting strategies
  • Contribute to the development of style guides and content standards to foster consistency across the app

Qualifications

What you will bring:

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communication, Technical Writing, Content Development, or related
  • Portfolio showcasing seasoned fluency in UX copywriting principles, preferably for an app
  • 6+ years’ experience in UX copywriting, including flow design in collaboration with design and engineering teams
  • Demonstrated ability to write in a pitch-perfect Gen Z voice that balances wit and warmth
  • ​​Extraordinary organizational skills, self-directedness, and intuition
  • Commitment to a human-centric team culture underscored by empathy, inclusivity, and zero egos
  • Growth mindset attuned to creative risk-taking, failure, problem-solving, and the art of starting over 
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Figma and/or Miro, Slack, Monday, Contentful, Airtable, and Tableau (or aptitude and willingness to learn)
  • Ability to create and thrive in the beautiful, fast-paced ambiguity of a start-up 
  • Genuine passion for mental healthcare accessibility and big-hearted sense of purpose to be a force of positive change

 

WHAT YOU WILL GET!

 

Compensation: The base salary for this role will be $75,000-90,000K annually based on experience.
