Sr. DataStage Developer (Remote Possible)

Are you ready to join an organization that will help unlock your potential? + Develop, Plan, Organize, design and maintain DataStage ETL workflows and dashboards for scalable, refreshable analysis and reporting. + Understand business requirements and develop efficient ETLs process. + Proposing, designing, and implementing solutions following the best practices and business intelligence / Data warehouse solution architecture, standards, methodology and tools used. + Interfacing with Delivery lead on enhancement requests or any clarification on the user story. + Create and enable the creation of ad-hoc / on demand jobs or mappings to deliver the data extracts for the business. Qualifications Minimum Required Qualifications: + Requires 3-5 years of relevant work experience + Knowledge of database design and dealing with large datasets + Expertise in SQL, Datastage 11.7 + Work experience in Agile methodology delivery + Experience with all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation. + Experience with development, deployment, and support of large-scale mainframe applications in a mission-critical production environment. Preferred Qualifications: + Experience in the insurance or financial sector from a data management perspective + Experience in Data Warehouse applications + Hands on experience as Mainframe or Datalake developer or tableau would be the plus + Self-motivated, confident, organized, enthusiastic and have a good work ethic. + Strong communication, collaboration, influencing and negotiation skills Skills: Agile Methodologies : Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery. Application Design, Architecture: Knowledge of basic activities and deliverables of application design; ability to utilize application design methodologies, tools and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design. Documentation Architecture and Design : Knowledge of documentation architecture and design; ability to build efficient processes, use appropriate tools and technique , and create complete documentation portfolios for software or technology products. Software Development: Knowledge of software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements. System and Technology Integration : Knowledge of the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases and technology platforms. Technical Writing/Documentation : Knowledge of technical writing; ability to write technical documents such as manuals, reports, guidelines or documents on standards, processes and applications. The base salary range for this position is $83,000 - $109,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.
