Overview

Responsibilities will include user research, site-mapping, wireframing, mockup creation, prototyping, user testing, and final interface design. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with design software and wireframe tools. You will bring a highly entrepreneurial sensibility to your work, are able to wear multiple hats and work in an agile and iterative environment. If you also have a portfolio of professional design projects that includes work with web/mobile applications, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product owners, BAs and development teams
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps
  • Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets
  • Build page navigation buttons and search fields
  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
  • Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
  • Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
  • Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS or MA/MS in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human Computer Interface Design, Visual Arts or equivalent
  • 7 – 10 years of experience designing user experiences for mobile and web apps, or experience in visual or interaction design
  • Portfolio of design projects
  • Expertise at capturing the essence of usability issues and clearly communicating them with non-technical audiences
  • Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Good time-management skills
  • Proficiency in design tools & prototyping tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Invision, Omnigraffle, etc.
  • Strong abilities in sketching, mocking up, and evaluating interaction design
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced agile environment
