We are looking for a top-notch Data Engineer to work on production data pipelines and analytics systems. Your primary responsibility will development of data pipelines supporting digital experiences and analytics systems. You'll collaborate on architecture decisions and develop solutions using on AWS (Databricks, EMR, Redshift, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, RDS, Machine Learning tools) and on our on premises Hadoop cluster. Interested candidates must be self-motivated, willing to learn, and willing to share new ideas to improve our team and process Responsibilities: + Develop data pipelines supporting Cigna digital experiences and analytics systems. + Collaborate on architecture decisions and develop solutions using tools in AWS: Databricks, Airflow, Redshift, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, RDS, Snowflake, Machine Learning tools + Production data pipeline development in Spark using Scala, Python and SQL and machine learning algorithms on Databricks + Develop analytics solutions + Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and analytics business requirements. + Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, and Engineering teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs. Basic Qualifications: + 5+ years of experience in data systems and analytics development + Extensive knowledge of SQL and one of Python, Scala and Java. + Experience developing Big Data pipelines in AWS cloud. + Experience with job orchestration tool like Airflow. + Bachelor's degree in Comp Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics or related. A Master's is a plus. Nice-to-haves: + Knowledge of search solutions such as CloudSearch, Lucene, Solr, or ElasticSearch + Experience with looker, tableau or similar BI tools + Experience with Data Security and managing PII/PHI in production environments. + Understanding of common "Big Data" file formats: Avro, Parquet, etc + Understanding of web analytics + Understanding of the medical insurance industry This role is WAH/Flex which allows most if not all of the work to be performed at home. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite. This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado. If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload. For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 105,600 - 176,000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
