Senior Business Intelligence Engineer - Remote

Lifepoint Health has an opportunity for a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer - Remote. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer will be part of the Data Warehouse Solutions team based in Louisville, KY and Brentwood, TN. We support a remote workplace with occasional travel to Louisville or Brentwood. The Data Warehouse Solutions team is responsible for extracting and consolidating data from various source system applications and delivering information to business users in an impactful manner. This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual with a passion for data and delivering value to the business with a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools as needed. This position is primarily responsible for developing and supporting solutions to acquire data from source system applications and loading it to the appropriate Business Intelligence data store. Essential Functions: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily. Apply data extraction, transformation and loading techniques to connect large data sets from a variety of sources. Create data collection frameworks for structured and unstructured data. Develop and maintain infrastructure systems (e.g., data warehouses, data lakes). Prepare, manipulate, and model data to enable optimal reporting and analytics. Deliver results utilizing agile methodology for medium-large projects as an individual engineer and as a team member for larger projects. This includes but is not limited to designing data models and performing data validation tests to ensure data quality to meet project requirements and timelines Demonstrate excellent technical abilities with little to no technical supervision and ensure that solutions meet standards, policies, and business strategies and initiatives. Lead/participate in data architectural discussions involving data delivery impacts and assessment of alternative solutions Possess working knowledge of data warehousing and translation technology with the capability to develop reporting and analytic solutions using modern Business Intelligence tools Troubleshoot data warehousing and translation technology to resolve issues within the architected data warehouse solution and with data transfers via internal/external integration platforms using a combination of knowledge and tools Participate as an effective technical advisor as demonstrated by the ability to mentor others; design and develop effective business solutions; and lead junior level Business Intelligence Engineers so that all project tasks are completed as assigned Possess in-depth knowledge of the business areas being supported Provide ongoing support on production applications (on-call problem resolution) as required Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA) issues. Demonstrate skill in the application of policies and procedures.
