Employment Type: Full time Shift: Description: TogetherCare Epic Data Aggregation/ETL Developer _ Position allows for work remote/work from home opportunity_ POSITION PURPOSE Responsible for directing and controlling activities related to the design of architecture for database systems from hardware and software perspectives. Designs, develops and implements enterprise, regional or RHM specific architectural framework for centralized database support using advanced technologies. Implements industry wide standards and technologies to facilitate effective support for production systems. Serves as the subject matter expert in one or more of the specialized areas in database administration. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Knows, understands, incorporates and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision and Values in leadership behaviors, practices and decisions.Directs and facilitates enterprise or regional solution architecture for database systems by understanding the current state, articulating the desired future state, identifying the gaps between the two and creating principles and implementation models to close the gaps.Serves as senior architecture resource for database servers, enterprise architecture for application support and evaluation of database related technologies. Acts as a subject matter expert for database architecture and process design. Researches and recommends architectural modifications to incorporate latest technologies.Assists database management team in establishing enterprise or regional wide strategy in database technologies, integration strategy with hardware technologies, evaluation of vendor products for database technology, promote Trinity Health standards for database installations, perform long range capacity planning and supports other enterprise or regional wide approaches.Provides technical leadership to project managers and system architects in design of databases and database servers for different platforms. Provides technical assistance to other personnel in estimation and management of licenses for database software. Provides the DBA liaison function to project architecture teams and hardware design teams.Provides leadership to implementing new database and associated technologies to Unix, Intel, Citrix and other infrastructure teams.Mentors other database administrators in technical areas.Supervises projects related to database technology which impacts multiple applications and servers.Provides leadership in design and maintenance of the database environments and platforms.Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.Performs related work as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area and (7) seven to (10) years of related experience in one (1) or more relational database environments or equivalent education and experience. Hands-on database administration experience in support of production environments and strong database language programming skills. Minimum of five (5) years' experience in Trinity Information Services preferred.Ability to learn Epic's software and Certification will be required after training is complete.Seven (7) or more years' knowledge of host operating systems, advanced relation database programming languages, system utilities, software products, and related hardware. Strong background using relational database management and development tools and technologies. Ability to design complex architectural environments supporting high-end application in Oracle, SQL server or related technologies.Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills for creating visionary profiles on future database systems, developing standards and procedures, and proficient in short-term and long-range planning.Advanced written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with end users, Trinity Health staff, and vendors. Proficient interpersonal skills, including teamwork, collaboration, facilitation and negotiation, as well as emotional intelligence, including self-awareness, self-management, relationship management, and ability to manage conflict.Ability to technically lead projects, manage several projects at one time, prioritize multiple tasks, and function well in an environment of competing priorities and in crisis situations.Aptitude towards technical development in career path.Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for ETL needs preferred. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS Operates in a typical office environment. The area is well lit, temperature-controlled and free from hazards. Incumbent communicates frequently, in person and over the telephone, with people in a number of different locations on technical issues.Manual dexterity is needed in order to operate a keyboard. Hearing is needed for extensive telephone and in person communications. Must be able to speak and communicate clearly and effectively.The environment in which the incumbent will work requires the ability to concentrate, meet deadlines, work on several projects at the same time and adapt to interruptions.Must be able to adapt to frequently changing work priorities and be able to prioritize and balance the requirements of working with the System Office and Regional Health Ministries (RHMs).Must be able to travel to various Trinity Health sites as needed. Workhours may include afterhours and weekends.May require participation in a rotating call schedule after implementations have begun.
