The Proposal Writer & Strategist is a key member of the Accel Schools’ Business Development Team. This person is responsible for researching the requirements for a successful education services proposal/charter school application, seeking input and review from respective departments, and creating the draft response and exhibits. This person will work closely with the SVP of Business Development to research, write, edit, and complete proposals and charter applications that meet RFP or authorizer deadlines.

Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • Extensive knowledge of K-12 public education program models (charter schools/district, virtual/blended/site-based schools)
  • Previous K-12 teaching or administrative experience with knowledge of curriculum and instructional methodology.
  • Experience in researching, writing, and editing education content including charter school applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work/adapt in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines.
  • Focused attention to detail.
  • Contribute to a positive team atmosphere

Education:

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Education, English, Journalism; Master’s degree preferred

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong skillsets working with the Microsoft Ofce Suite software (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and internet research ability.
