About the role

Connections Platform will be involved in all stages of the move experience, so come seize this rare opportunity to make a significant impact. You will be joining a passionate team of developers who are building Zillow into the biggest real-estate marketplace online. We believe in autonomy and moving fast, so self-motivation and the energy to blaze trails is a must-have for this role. You will work closely with Senior Engineers on various backend microservices (developed in C# and Golang) and the frontend (developed in React/Redux). You will design, implement, deploy, and maintain features and services that are used by hundreds of Connection Specialists.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. Remote employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $181,000.00 – $289,100.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or have applicable experience
  • 7+ years of experience in designing, coding, and debugging web applications and backend services
  • Strong experience with backend development in one or more programming languages: Golang or C#
  • Front-end development experience with React/Redux/Sagas, Typescript, ES6 or similar languages/libraries
  • Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS – SQS, DynamoDB, Postgres, RedisCache
  • Working knowledge with relational databases such as Postgres, MySQL, MSSQL
  • Containerization and Container orchestration using Kubernetes
  • Ability to multi-task optimally and easily adapt within a fast-paced environment.
  • Validated ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Experience in addressing large application deployment architectures and concerns such as performance, reliability, scalability, availability and security
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
