Launched earlier in 2024, the marketplace business aims to deliver rapid growth of relevant choices to customers through Nordstrom digital platforms. The marketplace digital team exists to plan, prepare, run, and optimize the marketplace business model at Nordstrom. We partner externally with marketplace sellers and technology partners and internally across the organization to deliver a compelling customer and seller experience, rooted in Nordstrom’s purpose to help our customer feel good and look their best.

We are looking for an Operations Assistant – Marketplace supporting Marketplace Operations. This role sits within digital and is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations for brands selling on the Nordstrom.com Marketplace. This role involves managing seller relationships, ensuring efficient supply chain processes (ship on time, cancel rates, return rates, Care incident rates), monitoring return inventory levels, and resolving operational inquiries and issues from our external brand partners. We are looking for someone who is a positive self-starter that is not afraid to roll up their sleeves on a growing team, is energized by problem solving, and has ability to think critically and creatively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for supporting day-to-day operations for sellers on Nordstrom’s Marketplace
  • Monitor and manage order fulfillment process to ensure accurate and timely delivery of product to Nordstrom customers, while supervising ship on time, cancel rates, and return levels.
  • Quickly address and resolve order-related issues, including discrepancies, delays, and cancellations.
  • Serve as the liaison between Sellers and Nordstrom to understand where pain points exist around process and bring forward to Leadership to collaborate on improvements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external partners, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for post purchase activities.
  • Work closely with external partners to address inquiries, provide support, and resolve issues related to post-purchase activities.
  • Ensure quality, on-time relevant information is in place to ensure transparency and visibility for internal partners.
  • Build an understanding of the competitive landscape of operations and logistics in a marketplace model to ensure Nordstrom remains at the forefront of delivering positive customer and seller experience.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of policies related to returns, order management, and partner collaboration.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency with date-driven decision-making skills and technology systems.
  • 2+ years of logistics or operations experience.
  • 4+ years of experience working with external partners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commitment to success metrics

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

California: $59,500-$110,500 annually, Colorado: $59,500-$95,000 annually, Connecticut: $59,500-$110,500 annually, Hawaii: $59,500-$95,000 annually, Nevada: $59,500-$95,000 annually, New York: $59,500-$110,500 annually, Rhode Island: $59,500-$95,000 annually, Washington: $59,500-$110,500 annually, Washington DC: $69,000-$110,500 annually
