Mid-Level Java Developer FULL TIME REMOTE

Job Family: Software Development & Support (Digital) Travel Required: None Clearance Required: Ability to Obtain Public Trust What You Will Do: Guidehouse Digital is looking for a Mid Java Developer supporting a new program/customer initiative. This is a full time role with work location REMOTE or Rockville MD if preferred. Designing major aspects of the architecture of an application, including components such as user interface, middleware and infrastructure Ensuring that uniform enterprisewide application design standards are maintained Understand and apply design methodologies including Object-Oriented Design and Analysis and Domain-Driven Design Understand and leverage common architectural styles and patterns (SOA, Microservice, Layered, Clean, Event Sourcing, CQRS, etc.) Understand and apply quality techniques and practices (automated unit testing, Test Driven Design/Development, java performance analysis, continuous integration) Participate in the full software development life cycle from scoping, analysis, design, implementation, and uality assurance to delivery and support Mentor and inspire our team members by helping them to hone tech skills/expertise Provide support for critical production issues. Design and development of RESTful APIs Creation and maintenance of system documentation and artifacts Performing design and code reviews as needed Be part of Agile/Scrum cross-functional team and bring your own unique skill set to the table and collaborate with others to accomplish team goals What You Will Need: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or in an associated discipline or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities 5+ years of software experience, both front-end and back-end development experience Java 8+, Spring, Hibernate, Maven, relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSql, etc.), REST Services, Spring Boot and Microservices architecture. Solid understanding and experience architecting container-based solutions using Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, or similar products. Deep understanding of iPaaS, API Management, and application integration methodologies. Experience designing RESTful APIs that facilitate a superior UX and simplify systems integration. Experience in creating DevSecOps and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Experience in Agile/Scrum environment Demonstrates critical thinking to problem-solving Design backend database schemas, using concepts such as Database Normalization write basic SQL statements Passion for learning new things and solving new problems. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance What Would Be Nice To Have: UI development experience with ReactJS and good understanding of Redux, Routers, React workflows and Lifecycle. Knowledge of user centric design and follow all regulatory requirements (such as Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act) Experience in an environment where Data analytics and machine leaning is part of the enterprise architecture Knowledge of maintaining security continuous monitoring. Familiarity with DevOPS and technologies that we use (Terraform, Docker, Ansible, Serverless Architecture) Experience with AWS platform services, and application/service deployment in AWS Knowledge of web application vulnerabilities and remediation techniques. Knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques.
